Moody Marketing and Communications Office

What it was
The social channels for three Moody College departments: Journalism, Communication and Leadership, and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. Instagram Reels, posts and Stories, all year.
What I did
Made the branded content myself: student and faculty features, trend-driven Reels, and big moments like graduation. Each account got its own voice, aimed at the people who actually follow it.
What changed
- +800%SLHS Instagram following in two years
- 11.05%average engagement for Journalism, vs. 0.41% for the industry
- 105K+views across five posts, including the second-highest performing Reel on Texas Moody's account
We Are Social, New York
Strategy Team Intern, Jun to Aug 2025
What it was
A summer on the strategy team at a global, socially led creative agency, working on real client accounts including YouTube, Tripadvisor, adidas and Man City US.
What I did
Turned a trend into a concept for YouTube, pitched it to the client team, and filmed the video. Led a four-intern content series for Tripadvisor's "Things to Do" feature built around the 2026 World Cup, backed by 45+ audience and competitor sources. Also dug into audience data and social trends for pitches.
What changed
- 130.5K+views on the YouTube TikTok, past the benchmark we set
- 69.7K+views on the Tripadvisor post, aimed at a Gen Z audience

What it was
The Austin account for 101Media, which spotlights local restaurants, events and things to do in cities across Texas, each tailored to its own audience.
What I did
Went out, found the new spots and made the content: filming Reels, taking photos and writing captions for restaurants, events and experiences around Austin.
What changed
- 300K+views across 17 posts
- +25%Instagram followers in under four months

Meet the correspondent
Trained in a newsroom, working in brand.
I'm a Master of Science in Marketing candidate at UT Austin's McCombs School of Business, graduating in May 2027. Before that I earned a Bachelor of Journalism at Moody College (3.97 GPA, with minors in business and in media and entertainment industries).
The newsroom still shapes how I work. I reported and anchored Good Morning Longhorns at Texas Student Television and covered campus sports for The Daily Texan, so I know how to find the angle, respect the audience and say it clearly on a deadline.
In summer 2025 I moved to New York through UTNY, interning at We Are Social by day and taking classes at night. I'm drawn to fast-paced places, and to promoting brands in a way that puts their real strengths first.
